As Seventh Day Adventists we Believe...

We believe God is our Creator. It is a natural outcome of ‘God being Love.’ He is the Master Creator, the Intelligent Designer behind all living beings. God created us in His image to exhibit and share love. (Genesis 1:1-2, 26-27; 1 John 4:16)

We believe that the Bible provides clear evidence regarding the equality and eternal co-existence of the three divine beings in the Godhead; The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Their uniqueness and oneness is a demonstration of love. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Revelation 22:1,17)

  • We believe the Bible provides a solution to the many problems in our world. It provides directions, like a road map for our reconciliation with God. It gives us hope, both now and into eternity. (Psalm 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:15-16)
We accept the Bible as the only source of our beliefs. We consider our movement to be the result of the Protestant conviction Sola Scriptura—the Bible as the only standard of faith and practice for followers of Christ. (Isaiah 8:20; Psalm 12:6-7)

  • We believe Jesus is the Messiah as prophesied in the Old Testament. Because of the entrance of sin into the world we see both good and evil around us today. Jesus provides the solution to overcome sin and death. (Micah 5:2; Daniel 9:25-27; John 16:33)
According to the many prophecies in the Bible, we believe we are living in a time when Jesus will be coming back soon. It will be a literal, visible return. He is coming back with His promised reward. (Revelation 1:7; John 14:1-3; Luke 17:26-30)

  • We believe that God wants us to live as joyful, positive examples of His love and care. Part of that includes taking care of our bodies, and treating them with the respect a divine creation deserves. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 10:31)
We believe that humans are beings made in the image of God. Our health & wholeness includes a balance and intimate relationship between the spiritual, physical, mental, and social aspects of our lives. (Genesis 1:26; Romans 12:1-2)

  • We believe that the Sabbath is a gift from God given at Creation – before the entrance of sin into this world. It is a time to rest from our work and a time to connect with both God and family. (Genesis 2:1-3; Mark 2:27)
We believe that by observing the Seventh-day Sabbath we are reminded that we cannot work our way to heaven but rather we can rest in the assurance that the LORD is our Redeemer, our Saviour. (Deuteronomy 5:12-15; Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • We believe God wants you to Live your Best life! Each of us have been given power to think, the freedom to choose, and autonomy to act. (Deuteronomy 20:19; John 10:10; Philippians 4:8-9)
We believe that we achieve true potential when our Mental, Physical and Spiritual needs are met. An education that includes these needs – and not only the specifics of ones, is at the heart of learning how to Live an Abundant Life. (Proverbs 1:7; 3 John 2 )

  • As disciples of Jesus, we believe in bringing help and hope through various volunteer services and acts of compassion, to alleviate and prevent suffering of those in our sphere of influence. (Matthew 25:35-36; Proverbs 3:27)
Jesus calls us to “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.” In doing acts of kindness – whether great or small, it brings Joy, Purpose and Meaning into our own lives and as well as the recipients of our actions. (Luke 6:31, 38; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8)
